🇬🇧 The old now demolished houses at the bottom of Snickaregatan in 1888. The house on the left in the picture was called "Gullbrandsstöva" after Gullbrand Christensson who lived there from 1829 and for many years to come. We do not know when the house was built but between 1780 - 1800 Bryngel Persson lived there. The house was demolished in 1896 and a new one was built on the site. The house on the right was called "Arti-stöva" after Christian Olsson Artig, born in 1803. He lived in the house for much of the 19th century. The house was probably built in 1647 by Jacob Sörensson and was located on the current Snickaregatan 1. The chimney was built of gray stone and the floor in the kitchen was of stamped earth. The house was demolished in 1893 and a new one was built on the site. Behind the "Arti dust" is the roof and chimney of the house where the hardware store is today (Year 2001). The people in the picture are from vä. Anders Mattssons Oskar, 1878-1898, August Blanc, born 1862 and Karl Johan Johannesson, 1872-1892. The picture is the oldest we have from Bovallstrand. Photo: M. 🇩🇪 Die alten, jetzt abgerissenen Häuser am Fuße der Snickaregatan im Jahr 1888. Das Haus links im Bild wurde "Gullbrandsstöva" genannt, nach Gullbrand Christensson, der dort ab 1829 und viele Jahre lang lebte. Wir wissen nicht, wann das Haus gebaut wurde, aber zwischen 1780 - 1800 lebte Bryngel Persson darin. Das Haus wurde 1896 abgerissen und an der Stelle ein neues gebaut. Das Haus auf der rechten Seite wurde nach Christian Olsson Artig, geboren 1803, "Arti-stöva" genannt. Er lebte einen Großteil des 19. Jahrhunderts im Haus. Das Haus wurde wahrscheinlich 1647 von Jacob Sörensson erbaut und befand sich an der heutigen Snickaregatan 1. Der Schornstein war aus grauem Stein gebaut und der Boden in der Küche war aus Stampflehm. Das Haus wurde 1893 abgerissen und an der Stelle ein neues gebaut. Hinter dem "Arti-Staub" verbirgt sich das Dach und der Schornstein des Hauses, in dem sich heute der Baumarkt befindet (Baujahr 2001). Die Leute auf dem Bild sind aus vä.
